Job summary

Unilever in Boksburg is seeking a Machine Operator to run production equipment safely and deliver on the production plan while meeting quality standards and controlling costs.

You will participate in start-up and shutdown procedures, adjust machines, and collaborate with maintenance and QA teams to minimize downtime and defects, ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant working environment.

Qualifications

• Matric and or N3 with passed Maths & Science or equivalent.
• Strong literacy and numerical skills.
• Basic mechanical awareness of factory automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machinery to the prescribed standards and levels of cleanliness.
• Able to perform correct adjustment and setting on equipment.
• Proactively work with Maintenance and Quality Control staff to achieve zero breakdowns and zero defects.
• Carry out product and size changeovers and maintain quality standards whilst minimizing the impact to the production plan.
• Start-Up/Shutdown procedures.
• Able to account, articulate and capture their losses accordingly on related programs ( Shop ware/Build App) and escalate when needed.
