Job summary

Helderberg Personnel is seeking an engineer who enjoys understanding how machinery works, solving real-world technical challenges and collaborating with engineering professionals in Durban.

Duties include consulting with engineers and industrial clients, recommending automation solutions, working with precision sensors and encoders, and providing technical product advice and quotations. A relevant engineering degree and strong communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma/BTech/BEng/BSc Engineering in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Instrumentation or related discipline.
• Strong technical aptitude and interest in industrial automation, sensors and precision engineering.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence to engage with engineers and other technical professionals.
• Self-motivated, inquisitive and eager to develop specialist expertise.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Previous experience in industrial automation, instrumentation or technical sales is advantageous but not essential.
