Job summary

Foot Gear SA is seeking a stock planning professional to ensure products are allocated efficiently across stores and replenished in a timely manner. You will monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving items, and collaborate with Buyers and Merchandisers to drive sales and profitability.

The role focuses on stock allocation, inventory control, and performance reporting to optimize store performance and product availability.

Responsibilities

• Allocate stock to stores based on business requirements and allocation strategies.
• Support new product launches and promotional campaigns.
• Balance inventory across stores to maximize sales opportunities.
• Monitor and resolve stock allocation issues.
• Monitor store stock levels and replenish merchandise based on sales trends and stock parameters.
• Minimise stock-outs while avoiding overstocking.
• Review replenishment recommendations and make adjustments where required.
• Ensure timely replenishment of seasonal and core merchandise.
• Monitor stock availability across distribution centres and stores.
• Identify slow-moving and excess stock and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyse sales and inventory reports to identify trends and opportunities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
• Track key KPIs including stock availability, stock turn, weeks of cover, and sell-through.
• Work closely with Buyers, Merchandise Planners, and Merchandise Administration teams.
• Communicate stock shortages, delivery delays, and replenishment challenges.
