Job summary

Optimum Fire Protection (OFP) is expanding its Cape Town operation and seeks a motivated Junior Project Manager to oversee multiple construction sites. You will coordinate site teams and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

The role requires strong planning, reporting and communication skills, with comfort dealing with main contractors, site management and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in the construction industry.
• Confident managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Organised and able to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
• Strong planning, reporting and communication.
• Comfortable dealing with main contractors, site management and clients.
• Able to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
• Driven, accountable and willing to take ownership.
• Experience in passive fire protection, fire stopping or specialist construction would be an advantage, but is not essential.
• Ambitious individual who wants to develop their project management career.

Optimum Fire Protection is continuing to expand its Cape Town operation, and we’re looking for a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a number of active construction sites, coordinating site teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in the construction industry
• Confident managing site teams and subcontractors
• Organised and able to manage multiple sites simultaneously
• Strong on planning, reporting and communication
• Comfortable dealing with main contractors, site management and clients
• Able to work under pressure and solve problems quickly

Experience in passive fire protection, fire stopping or specialist construction would be an advantage, but is not essential.
