Job summary

ZealHR is seeking a Graduate or Junior Project Engineer for a renewable energy project in Bellville, Cape Town. You will design solar PV systems and manage mechanical/electrical drawings for rooftop, ground-mount, and storage installations.

Responsibilities include BOQ compilation, regulatory approvals, quality control, and project management from site setup to handover, with growth opportunities in a dynamic, diverse team.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree – minimum.
• Fully proficient in English (verbal and written).
• 0–3+ years engineering experience; junior to senior considered.
• Familiar with PVSyst, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Layout and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Design of Solar PV systems.
• Mechanical and electrical design and drawings for rooftop, ground-mount, and storage systems.
• Compile BOQ (Bill of Quantity).
• Apply and drive regulatory approvals.
• Quality control of the designed system.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Even if experience is more in one arealike design or project management
  • Review/Supervision will be determined by applicant experience
• Preferred competence in following software:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design of Solar PV systems
• All mechanical and electrical design and drawings for rooftop, ground-mount, and storage systems

• Professional engagement with suppliers and subcontractors
