Job summary

Quyn International seeks a Project Planner with 1–4 years of experience in renewable energy to develop detailed schedules for DC, LV, MV electrical works and substation integration.

You will maintain integrated MS Projects schedules, monitor progress, perform earned value analysis, and coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs and utility stakeholders to keep milestones and energization on track.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
• MS Projects advanced scheduling training preferred.
• 1–4 years of experience in project planning within renewable energy, power generation, or transmission/distribution.
• Proven experience on utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction activities across DC, LV, MV; proficient in MS Projects and Excel

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules covering procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Create and maintain integrated Level 1–4 schedules using MS Project.
• Coordinate electrical scope with civil, mechanical and electrical teams.
• Monitor progress, prepare weekly/monthly reports and conduct schedule risk analyses.
• Support delay analysis and EOT claims where applicable.

Duties & Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed project schedules, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Create and maintain integrated Level 1–4 schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Establish logical activity sequencing for DC, LV, and MV electrical works.
• Define and monitor project critical paths, float consumption, and schedule risks.
• Prepare baseline schedules in accordance with contractual requirements and project execution strategies.
• Ensure alignment between civil, mechanical, and electrical work fronts.

Electrical Scope Coordination

Plan and track installation activities related to:

• PV modules and string installation
• DC cabling and combiner boxes
• Inverters and transformer stations
• LV reticulation systems
• MV cable installation and terminations
• Substation integration and grid connection works
• Testing and commissioning activities
• Coordinate schedule interfaces between contractors, OEMs, and utility stakeholders.
• Monitor electrical construction progress against approved schedules and milestones.

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Update schedules using site progress data and contractor reports.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves.
• Conduct earned value and productivity analysis.
• Identify schedule deviations and propose mitigation or recovery plans.
• Support delay analysis and extension of time (EOT) claims where applicable. Project Controls & Risk Management

Project Controls & Risk Management

• Assist with resource loading and manpower forecasting.
• Participate in risk workshops and schedule risk assessments.
• Monitor procurement lead times for critical electrical equipment.
• Track interfaces affecting energization and grid compliance milestones.
• Ensure planning outputs comply with project controls procedures and contractual obligations. Stakeholder Coordination

Stakeholder Coordination

• Attend coordination meetings with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client teams.
• Liaise with subcontractors to validate progress and forecast upcoming activities.
• Support management decision-making through accurate schedule analysis and reporting.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
• MS Projects advanced scheduling training preferred.
• Minimum 1 – 4 years’ experience in project planning within renewable energy, power generation, or transmission/distribution projects.
• Proven experience on utility-scale solar PV projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction activities across DC, LV, and MV systems.
• Experience with testing, commissioning, and grid connection planning is advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Projects.
• Strong knowledge of project controls principles and scheduling methodologies.
• Understanding of EPC project execution and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with earned value management and reporting tools.
