Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical principles, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
• Eagerness to learn and develop expertise in the Western Cape engineering landscape.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in creating and modifying mechanical designs, drawings, and schematics using CAD software.
• Participate in the assembly, testing, and validation of prototypes and mechanical systems.
• Conduct basic calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
• Document engineering procedures, test results, and project progress clearly.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are production-feasible.
