Job summary

Hungry Lion is seeking a Junior Manager to join our growing Quick-Service Restaurant team in Strand. The role ensures daily duties meet Hungry Lion standards and assists with food safety across the branch.

You will draw up daily cleaning schedules, oversee stock control and the packing of ordered food, and support cash handling to ensure accurate banking. We value energetic, reliable people who are committed to high standards, teamwork, and customer satisfaction as we build something great

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completed.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a QSR.
• A tertiary qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Draw up daily cleaning schedules.
• Daily cleaning of all equipment and the branch itself.
• Daily preparation of food: filtration, temperature controls, code dating, food safety standards.
• Packing of ordered food.
• Effective cash handling procedures and banking accuracy.
• Voids on tills and investigation of irregularities.
• Stock control and stock takes with proper invoices and delivery notes.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an opportunity for aQuick-Service Restaurant (QSR) Junior Manager to join our team.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all daily duties are completed according to the Hungry Lion standard and to assist in ensuring that our food and health standards are enforced by assisting with the:

• drawing up the daily cleaning schedules
• daily cleaning of all equipment and the branch itself
• daily preparation of food: filtration, preventative maintenance, temperature controls, code dating, food safety standards (be the custodian for food safety within a branch).
• packing of ordered food
• effective cash handling procedures by ensuring that the correct amount is banked according to the amount specified by the cashiers
• voids on the tills and investigate any irregularities
• stock control by ensuring that the ordered stock is correct and in the correct quantities according to the invoices, goods received vouchers and/or delivery notes.
• daily and weekly stock takes by completing the required administration documents

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12
• A tertiary qualification is desirable
• Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity ina Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR)
