Job summary

Hungry Lion Fast Foods (Pty) Ltd is seeking a QSR Junior Manager to join the team and uphold Hungry Lion standards across daily operations. You will supervise staff, ensure food safety, and support service excellence at the branch.

You will manage cleaning schedules, stock control, cash handling, and related admin to ensure efficient, quality service in a fast-food environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• A tertiary qualification is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR).

Responsibilities

• Drawing up the daily cleaning schedules.
• Daily cleaning of all equipment and the branch.
• Daily preparation of food with temperature controls and food safety awareness.
• Packing of ordered food.
• Effective cash handling procedures with correct bank deposits.
• Voids on tills and investigation of irregularities.
• Stock control and verification against invoices and delivery notes.
• Daily and weekly stock takes and related admin.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an opportunity for a Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR) Junior Manager to join our team.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that all daily duties are completed according to the Hungry Lion standard and to assist in ensuring that our food and health standards are enforced by assisting with the:

• drawing up the daily cleaning schedules.
• daily cleaning of all equipment and the branch itself.
• daily preparation of food: filtration, preventative maintenance, temperature controls, code dating, food safety standards (be the custodian for food safety within a branch).
• packing of ordered food.
• effective cash handling procedures by ensuring that the correct amount is banked according to the amount specified by the cashiers.
• voids on the tills and investigate any irregularities.
• stock control by ensuring that the ordered stock is correct and in the correct quantities according to the invoices, goods received vouchers and/or delivery notes.
• daily and weekly stock takes by completing the required administration documents.

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12.
• A tertiary qualification is desirable.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity ina Quick-Service Restaurant (QSR).
