Job summary

Placements24 in Rustenburg invites application for a Junior Legal Associate to support a busy legal practice. You will assist with case preparation, client communications, and legal research across litigation, property, and corporate law, gaining broad experience in a collaborative setting.

This contract role offers mentorship from experienced attorneys and exposure to diverse legal disciplines, while developing essential skills in a client-focused environment and contributing to efficient case

Qualifications

LLB degree or equivalent qualification.
1–3 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in a law firm.
Proficiency in legal research methodologies and software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist senior lawyers in preparing legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
Conduct legal research using various databases and libraries to support ongoing cases.
Organise and manage case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Schedule client meetings, court appearances, and other legal appointments.
Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
Perform administrative tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the legal department.
