Placements24 is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer for its Mahikeng, North West team. The role offers hands-on experience in design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems under senior engineers.
Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and up to 3 years of related experience, with a basic grasp of thermodynamics and CAD tools. A proactive learner is expected to thrive in a mentorship-driven environment.
Competenze
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience in mechanical engineering, preferably with exposure to HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
Mansioni
- Assist senior engineers in designing HVAC systems for commercial and residential buildings.
- Perform calculations for heating, cooling loads, airflow, and system performance.
- Create drawings, schematics and specifications using CAD software.
- Participate in site surveys and inspections to assess existing systems and progress.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of issues during installation and commissioning.
