Job description

MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.

Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO and now in Cape Town South Africa!

The Customer Design team, a branch of the MOO Creative Department, is a group of highly talented and efficient graphic designers primarily tasked with servicing our valuable Business Customers.

MOO is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Junior Graphic Designer to join the company’s fast-growing Customer Design team. As our customer base continues to grow, this role will help the team keep up with demand, creating engaging designs across MOO’s product range that help bring our customers’ brands to life. This is an exciting opportunity in our Cape Town hub for an entry‑level graphic designer who can produce high‑quality, impactful layouts that capture and promote our Business Customers’ vision under tight deadlines. This role requires organization, collaboration, creativity and a keen eye for detail.

The Person We Want
  • This is an exciting opportunity in our Cape Town hub for an entry‑level graphic designer who can produce high‑quality, impactful layouts that capture and promote our Business Customers’ vision under tight deadlines.
  • This role requires organization, collaboration, creativity and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities
  • Create bespoke designs for MOO Business Customers across our full product range that exhibit an adherence to brand guidelines and production specifications.
  • Effectively communicate with Sales, Production and Customer Success to troubleshoot and complete design requests.
  • Ability to quality check and spot on‑screen file issues to problem‑solve any customer print and/or design issues.
  • Consistently meet strict turnaround times on all assignments.
About You
  • Proven knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Basic retouching skills – ability to incorporate changes on raw files.
  • Basic presentation skills – ability to both build presentations and present to our internal and external customers.
  • Fanatical about the smallest of details.
  • Demonstrated digital print knowledge and experience working with digital presses including foil and UV printing.
  • The ability to read, understand and question a brief to deliver exceptional work.
  • Knowledge of typography and best practices for kerning, leading, tracking and font management.
  • Knowledge and awareness of current design and technology trends and how to apply them to customer design work.
  • An appreciation of creative standards and design best practices.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Passionate about people – customers and internal stakeholders, alike.
  • The ability to give and receive constructive feedback to effectively complete design requests.
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to change, self‑motivated and a team player.
  • Relevant design degree or equivalent experience in an art‑working role.
  • Portfolio required – examples of AI tool usage, a plus.
