Job summary

Talented Recruitment is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support garment QA processes in Durban. You will assist with fits, PPS/BPS, maintain customer workbooks and liaise with customer QA teams and factories on quality requirements.

You will review factory audit reports from the China team, plan local audits, and ensure AQL inspections are completed on stock. Strong attention to detail and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 13 years of experience in QA, garment manufacturing or similar environment.
• Experience servicing or working with primary retail customers is essential.
• Basic understanding of garment quality, fit, measurements and specifications.
• Knowledge of AQL inspections and garment quality standards is advantageous.
• Understanding of garment construction, patterns and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing fits, PPS and BPS and maintain customer workbooks.
• Liaise with customer QA teams and factories regarding queries and quality requirements.
• Assist with planning and booking local customer audits.
• Review China team factory audit reports and flag concerns before goods ship.
• Assist with ensuring local AQL inspections are completed when stock arrives.
• Compare China and local AQL results and elevate discrepancies as needed.
• Check graded specifications against customer requirements.
• Assist with problem-solving between customers, factories and distribution centres.
• Follow up on Asian inspection reports and obtain timely approvals.
