A hospitality company in Hluhluwe is seeking a dedicated team member to support the Front of House team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. The role involves welcoming guests, assisting with check-in, and providing attentive service throughout their stay. Responsibilities also include supporting dining service, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with basic administration. Ideal candidates will have a Grade 12 education and strong English communication skills. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential. Shift work, including weekends and public holidays, is required.
To support the Front of House team in delivering a warm, professional, and seamless guest experience throughout the guest journey, from arrival to departure. This role focuses on service excellence, attention to detail, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of all guest-facing areas.
Welcome guests on arrival and assist with check-in and orientation.
Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service at all times.
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
Handle basic guest queries and escalate issues as required.
Assist with guest departures and check-out procedures.
Assist with setup and breakdown of dining areas.
Support food and beverage service during meals.
Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest areas.
Assist with bar service where required (subject to legal requirements).
Conduct regular checks of guest areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
Support housekeeping with room turnarounds when operationally required.
Report maintenance issues promptly.
Assist with basic FOH administration, including guest movements, activity schedules, and daily handovers.
Maintain accurate guest information and preferences.
Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Support other departments during peak periods as required.
Grade 12 / Matric.
Previous hospitality or customer service experience (advantageous but not essential).
Fluent in English (additional languages advantageous).
Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Valid driver’s licence (advantageous).
