Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Junior FMCG Product Developer intern to join their innovative team remotely. You will support formulation, testing and documentation under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in product development and formulation within the fast-moving consumer goods sector.

You will collaborate with experienced scientists and product managers, conduct basic experiments, research market trends, and contribute to documentation and sensory evaluation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering).
• Strong interest in product development and the FMCG industry.
• Basic understanding of food chemistry, formulation principles, or laboratory techniques is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings.
• Proactive attitude, eager to learn, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior product developers in formulating and testing new FMCG product concepts under supervision.
• Conduct basic laboratory experiments, ingredient research, and sensory evaluation support.
• Help in documenting experimental procedures, results, and product specifications.
• Collaborate with team members on researching market trends and competitor product analysis.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute ideas for product innovation.
• Support the team in ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards during the development process.
