Placements24 is seeking a Product Development Scientist to join its R&D team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will lead formulation and development of new FMCG products from ideation to commercialization, conducting lab experiments and pilot plant trials to optimize formulations for quality, safety and cost requirements.

Work with marketing, regulatory and manufacturing to ensure successful launches. You will stay current with emerging technologies and trends in FMCG, and thoroughly document

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in product development, ideally within FMCG.
• Strong understanding of product formulation, processing, and sensory evaluation.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
