Placements24 in Mahikeng, North West, seeks a Junior Financial Accountant to join the on-site finance team. The position is ideal for recent graduates or those with up to 2 years of experience, with exposure to SAICA/SAIPA articles being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and SA accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing daily financial transactions (AP/AR).
• Perform bank reconciliations and GL entries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Assist with inventory counts and valuation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
• Support data gathering for budget and variance analysis.
• Learn and apply company accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with internal audits and provide documentation.
