Placements24 seeks a motivated Junior Electrical Design Engineer for our client in Mahikeng. This internship offers hands-on experience in electrical design across commercial and residential projects, with mentorship from senior engineers.

You will contribute to power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems, develop drawings, perform basic calculations, and support project teams through design and construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical qualification.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of experience in electrical design or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles, building services, and SA standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in designing electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• Produce electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Perform basic electrical calculations, such as load estimations and cable sizing, under supervision.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications and BOMs.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.

Our client, a dynamic engineering consultancy specializing in building services, is seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Mahikeng, North West . Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in the design of electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure.
• Produce electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Perform basic electrical calculations, such as load estimations and cable sizing, under supervision.
• Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.

• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and company policies.
• Learn and apply relevant design software and engineering best practices.
• Support the project team throughout the design and construction phases.

Requirements
