Job description

Have you come across document control during your working career and discovered that it is something you enjoy and are good at?
Document Control is often a career people discover through practical workplace experience rather than through a specific qualification. You may have started in administration, project support, engineering support or another technical environment and found yourself working with drawings, registers, revisions, transmittals or electronic filing systems.
If you enjoy structure, accuracy and keeping information organised, this could be an excellent opportunity to turn that experience into a career.
Our client is looking for a Junior Document Controller to join their Centurion-based engineering team, supporting multidisciplinary EPCM projects across the mining, petrochemical, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
You do not need to have formally studied Document Control. We are looking for someone who has had some workplace exposure to the function and would like to develop further in this field.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience with Aconex, SharePoint, SAP DMS or another EDMS would be advantageous, as would exposure to engineering, EPCM, construction, mining or industrial projects.
This is an opportunity to learn formal document control processes within a professional engineering environment and develop towards becoming an experienced Document Controller and, ultimately, Senior or Lead Document Controller.
If you have encountered document control in your working career and thought, “This is something I could be good at,” we would particularly like to hear from you.
