Job summary

Tailormade Solution in Gauteng invites applications for a Junior Detailer in a mechanical and piping environment. You will work with SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor to create and update drawings, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The candidate will read P&IDs, update as-built drawings, and support the workshop with technical queries, reporting to the Project Manager and 3D Model Builder.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in a mechanical and piping environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor; independent use, no training provided.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Produce technical drawings for mechanical, piping, electrical, civil and general arrangements.
• Generate, maintain and update drawing registers.
• Update drawings to reflect as-built conditions after project assemblies.
• Measure delivered mechanical and piping components and update drawings accordingly.
• Assist the workshop with drawing-related queries.
• Read, interpret and apply information from P&IDs.
• Ensure drawing deliverables are accurate and meet deadlines.
• Work under the Project Manager and 3D Model Builder.
