Job summary

Growthpoint Properties Limited is seeking a Junior Digital Sustainability Engineer at the Sandton Head Office. You will build and enhance digital capabilities across Sustainability using data engineering, analytics and automation to deliver insights and reporting across Growthpoint's portfolio.

You will work as a technical enabler between Sustainability and IT, transforming complex data into secure, scalable digital solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and governance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data engineering, data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and enterprise reporting environments.
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning and workflow automation principles.
• Understanding of APIs, system integrations and cloud data platforms.
• Secure development principles and access management in an enterprise.
• Awareness of ESG reporting and sustainability concepts is useful.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data platforms and integrations per enterprise standards.
• Automate reporting and create dashboards for sustainability insights.
• Ensure data quality and governance across systems.
• Collaborate with IT, owners and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
• Build reusable data products and semantic models.
• Develop AI-enabled solutions with appropriate human oversight.
• Document designs, data definitions, mappings and procedures.
• Support and train users on developed solutions.
• Continuously improve systems and drive innovation.
