Job summary

Equites Property Fund Limited is seeking a Sustainability Operations Analyst in Cape Town to join the Sustainability unit. The role focuses on analytics, data-driven decision support, and automation to enhance energy, water and social initiatives across the portfolio.

The successful candidate will contribute to reporting, project delivery, and continuous improvement while working closely with the Head of Sustainability in a dynamic, office-based setting.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Finance, Econometrics or a related discipline with a strong quantitative focus.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting and data analysis.
• API integrations.
• Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint with strong data visualization capability.
• Demonstrated experience analysing complex datasets and producing accurate, well-presented reports.

Responsibilities

• Data Modelling and Decision Support: analyse datasets across energy, water and social metrics to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Process Improvement and Automation: develop Python scripts and web scrapers to automate repetitive data collection and reporting tasks.
• Sustainability Reporting: support the preparation of Sustainability Reports and related stakeholder presentations.
• Project Delivery: monitor project performance and coordinate with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
