Job summary

Nedbank is seeking a Data Engineer to advance the Enterprise Data Architecture and deliver fit-for-purpose data products. You will build and maintain data pipelines, support data warehouses, and enable advanced analytics and AI initiatives by providing clean, usable data to stakeholders.

You will collaborate with data squads, ensure data security and reliability of cloud pipelines, and help optimise data extracts and business queries to support Nedbank’s data-driven strategy.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with AML, Fraud or regulatory reporting data is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data pipelines and support data squads with data profiling, cleaning and validation.
• Monitor and support Nedbank Data Warehouse and cloud processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data extracts and queries.
• Create data visualisations and assist in data extracts for business needs.
• Ensure data infrastructure is secure, available and reliable.
