Job summary

AES Global in Cape Town is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to turn operational data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work closely with sales, operations, credit and product teams while learning our data platforms.

This is a great first or second role for an analytical person; you’ll get real responsibility early and support from an experienced team to grow quickly.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years' experience in data analysis or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one data-visualisation tool (Power BI, Tableau or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving, curiosity and attention to detail, and the ability to explain findings clearly to non-technical colleagues.

We're working with an established financial services business that's building out its data capability, and they're looking for a Junior Data Analyst to help turn everyday business data into clear, usable insight.

This is a strong first or second role for someone analytical who enjoys working with data and wants to grow quickly. You'll be given real responsibility early, with plenty of support from an experienced team around you.

Working model

Hybrid, based in Cape Town, with time split between home and the office.
