Job summary

ATS Client is seeking a graduate/junior Data Scientist to collect, clean, and analyze financial data, building machine learning models and visual dashboards.

You will work with Python, Power BI, and SQL to deliver insights and support cross-functional teams in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification or relevant certification is advantageous.
• 0-2 years' experience in data science or data analysis (preferably within finance).

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and prepare structured and unstructured financial data for analysis and reporting.
• Support the development and improvement of machine learning models, including anomaly detection.
• Assist with feature engineering, model evaluation, and documentation of outputs.
• Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI to communicate insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Contribute to automation, reconciliation, and alerting tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and stay updated on industry trends.
