Job summary

Talent Evolution (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to support data analysis, interpretation and reporting with a focus on AI, data usage, trends and insights within the South African market.

You will help transform raw data into meaningful insights, identify trends, and improve data understanding and usage to support business decisions. The role requires 1–2 years’ experience and a strong interest in AI technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a data analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, information systems or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related analytical environment.
• Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and emerging AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate and analyse data from various sources.
• Assist with preparation of regular and ad hoc reports, dashboards and data visualisations.
• Analyse data usage, patterns, trends and performance to identify meaningful insights.
• Support identification of opportunities to improve data quality, reporting and data utilisation.
• Assist with AI-focused analytics and exploring AI tools for data analysis and business processes.
• Monitor emerging AI and data trends relevant to the South African market.
• Analyse datasets to identify trends, anomalies, correlations and opportunities.
• Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards and analytical reports.
• Translate data findings into clear insights for internal stakeholders.
• Support data-driven decision-making with timely analysis.
• Work with internal teams to understand data requirements and analytical needs.
