Job summary

Talent Evolution (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Junior Data Analyst in Johannesburg to support data interpretation and reporting with a strong focus on AI, data usage, trends and insights for the South African market.

The role will transform raw data into meaningful insights to support business decisions, identify trends and improve data understanding and AI usage. Salary is disclosed as R37 000 – R40 000 per month.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Data Analytics or related field.
• 1–2 years’ experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data science or a related analytical environment.
• Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and emerging AI technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Exposure to SQL and/or database querying is advantageous.
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau or other data visualisation tools is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis, data modelling and data visualisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify trends and anomalies in data.
• Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong research skills and an interest in emerging technology and AI trends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and maintaining dashboards and analytical reports.
• Translate data findings into clear and understandable insights for internal stakeholders.
• Support data-driven decision-making by providing accurate and timely analysis.
• Work with internal teams to understand data requirements and analytical needs.
• Assist with tracking and analysing customer, product, operational or platform usage data.
• Conduct research into AI, analytics, automation and data-related developments.
• Assist in testing and evaluating AI tools, models and analytical solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of data sources, methodologies and analytical outputs.
• Ensure data is handled accurately, responsibly and in accordance with applicable data protection and governance requirements.
