Job summary

OpsFi in Cape Town is seeking a hands-on Junior Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to support our finance team. You will learn crypto accounting while handling invoices, reconciliations, and monthly closes under supervision.

This role requires basic bookkeeping experience, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and comfort with cloud accounting software. Knowledge of wallets, crypto payments, and banking reconciliations will help you grow quickly.

Qualifications

• Basic bookkeeping experience with month-end close preparation.
• General ledger entries and reconciliations experience.
• Diploma or degree in bookkeeping, accounting, or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and transactional processing.
• Issuing invoices for clients.
• Raising bills on accounting software for clients.
• Monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monthly cryptocurrency wallet reconciliations.
• Processing manual journals.
• Raising accruals and prepayments.
• Preparing monthly management accounts.
• Assisting with financial statement preparation.
