Job summary

MethysGroup is seeking a Junior Copywriter and Digital Marketing Coordinator based in Century City, Western Cape, South Africa. You will craft content across social media, newsletters, blogs, podcasts and press releases, while supporting digital platforms and brand consistency.

The role requires 1–2 years of copywriting experience, strong storytelling and communication skills, and proficiency with CMS and CRM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Media studies, Marketing, Public Relations.
• 1-2 years writing copy for digital and non-digital channels.
• Experience in media, agency or content-oriented startup is a plus, tech exposure preferred.
• Excellent copywriting and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with G-Suite, CMS, and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute content strategy for daily social media, newsletters, blogs, podcasts and press releases.
• Assist with social media and web channel updates to amplify content.
• Create content for AfricArena platforms: website, startup portal, mobile app articles.
• Design materials per Brand Guidelines and ensure consistency across channels.
• Liaise with media to distribute content such as press releases.

MethysGroup is looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our team based in CenturyCity, Western Cape, South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Creating and executing content strategy for allthe Methys group entities: daily social media, weekly newsletters, weeklyblogs, weekly podcasts, and regular press releases
• Assist with social media and web channels toamplify content
• Creating content for all AfricArena’s digitalplatforms: website, startup portal, AfricArena Wired mobile app (articles,weekly Wired newsletters)
• Using the designated Brand Guidelines -designing all materials used for communication, and overall brand auditing andensuring consistency across all communication channels.
• Liaising with media on distributing content suchas press releases
• Playing a key role in authoring qualitativeresearch reports on tech innovation and investment trends in the Africanecosystem

Requirements

• Graduated with a Bachelor degree or Diploma inMedia studies, Marketing, Public Relations
• 1-2 years of proven experience in writing copyfor digital and non-digital
• A successful experience in a similar role in amedia, agency or content intensive startup is a must, with a preference withexposure to the technology sector
• Excellent copy writing skills
• Great interpersonal, presentation andcommunication skill
• Proficient in G-Suite applications (Docs,sheets, email, and others)
• Proficient in the use of CRMs (MailChimppreferred, but any other credible platforms are considered)
• Very comfortable in updating web and app contentthrough CMS platforms
