Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Chef to join a private game lodge in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring chef to develop culinary skills within a lodge environment while contributing to guest dining experiences.

Assist with daily meal preparation, follow lodge standards, and work with senior chefs to learn menus. You should be organised, able to work under pressure, and enjoy a collaborative kitchen team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen is advantageous.
• A culinary qualification would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Genuine passion for cooking and a willingness to learn.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and professional approach to kitchen operations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities
