WatersEdge Solutions is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to manage monthly bookkeeping for SME clients. This role involves transaction processing, VAT submissions, payroll, and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate should have a relevant tertiary qualification, 1-2 years of experience, and familiarity with Xero accounting software. A proactive approach and strong communication skills are essential for success in this modern, cloud-based environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of practical bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Experience working within an accounting practice environment preferred.
• Strong technology aptitude and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile client financial transactions accurately.
• Maintain bookkeeping records for a portfolio of SME clients.
• Prepare and submit VAT201 and EMP201 returns.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Assist with SARS eFiling administration.
