Job summary

CA in Stellenbosch is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join the finance team and help keep the records accurate and compliant. You will manage supplier invoices, reconciliations, and multi-currency creditor ledgers, supporting month-end activities and VAT deliverables.

This role offers hands-on exposure to the full bookkeeping cycle, including PAYE, asset verification, filing, and ad hoc admin tasks. A keen eye for detail and organisation will help you grow as you take responsibility for cash flow

Responsibilities

• Capture supplier invoices and maintain accurate creditor records in multiple currencies
• Prepare supplier payment schedules
• Process company bank account and credit card statements
• Perform creditor, bank and credit card reconciliations
• Resolve supplier account queries and discrepancies
• Process employee expense claims and company credit card transactions
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Process monthly journals, including PAYE and prepayments, with supporting documentation
• Complete EMP201s and assist with VAT deliverables
• Assist with month-end and year-end procedures
• Support fixed asset and stock verification spot-checks
• Maintain filing systems and audit documentation
• Manage petty cash
• Support the finance team with ad hoc accounting and admin tasks
