About the Role

Our client, WhatJobs Direct, is actively seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Architect to join their dynamic team in Paarl, Western Cape, ZA. This is an exceptional opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands‑on experience in all facets of residential architectural design. You will work under the guidance of senior architects, contributing to projects from initial concept development through to construction documentation. The role involves developing detailed drawings, assisting with client presentations, and coordinating with consultants. We are looking for an individual with a strong design sensibility, excellent technical skills, and a passion for creating beautiful and functional homes. This role requires you to be based locally and work primarily from our office, offering direct mentorship and team integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior architects in developing conceptual designs for residential projects.
• Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using CAD software.
• Prepare 3D models and renderings to visualize design proposals.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and other consultants.
• Participate in client meetings and assist with presentation materials.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project progress.
• Research building codes, zoning regulations, and material options relevant to residential design in Paarl, Western Cape, ZA.
• Assist in the preparation of specifications and construction documentation.
• Maintain project files and documentation accurately.
