Job summary

Tailormade Solution seeks a detail-oriented finance professional to support supplier and customer accounting functions in Durban. The role covers processing invoices, reconciliations, cashbook maintenance and assisting with month-end close and audit preparations.

The ideal candidate will maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with internal controls, and collaborate with the Finance Manager on reporting requirements for statutory and tax compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
• Familiarity with general ledger month-end close and basic financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and timeously.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Prepare supplier payment schedules.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier master data.
• Assist with payment preparations.
• Prepare customer quotations, costings and invoices.
• Allocate customer receipts.
• Reconcile customer accounts.
• Follow up outstanding debtors.
• Investigate and resolve customer account queries.
• Process daily banking transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the cashbook.
• Monitor cash receipts and payments.
• Assist with petty cash reconciliations.
• Prepare journals as required.
• Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with audit preparation.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist the Finance Manager with financial reporting requirements.
