Job summary

PSG Konsult Ltd. in Waterfall, Johannesburg, invites applications for a Junior Accountant on a permanent basis. You will support month-end processes, cashbook maintenance, payroll, and statutory filings within PSG Wealth.

The ideal candidate holds a finance-related degree and 1+ year of accounting experience, with strong Excel and ERP exposure (AccPac/Sage). You will report to management accountants and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• We require a dynamic Accountant with strong management skills and technical financial acumen.
• Must have a finance-related degree and relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 1+ years’ accounting experience or recently completed articles.
• Experience with accounting packages such as AccPac/Sage is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist management accountant with month end file.
• Maintain cashbook and ensure alignment with bank statements.
• Own payroll processing, payments and reconciliations.
• Ensure accounts reconciled to source and monitor ageing.
• Prepare expense analyses and assist with VAT/tax calculations.
• Compile BEE reports and participate in audits.
