Job summary

EnableSA is seeking a Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our Port Elizabeth team. You will manage supplier invoices, customer transactions, and maintain ledgers, with a focus on accuracy and timely processing.

You will perform bank reconciliations, payroll processing support, and assist with monthly close. The role requires 0–2 years of bookkeeping experience and a solid grounding in basic accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Finance.
• 1–2 years' bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Capture and process supplier invoices and customer transactions accurately.
• Maintain debtors and creditors ledgers.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cashbook processing.
• Process petty cash transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly bookkeeping up to trial balance.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
