Job summary

Performability Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a packaging and POS designer for an in-office role on the Umhlanga side of Durban. You will design packaging, labels and point-of-sale displays for consumer products and work closely with industrial designers, account managers and manufacturing teams to see your designs realized.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of related experience, a Bachelor's in Graphic Design or a related field, strong layout and typography skills, and proficiency in Adobe

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related design experience in packaging or POS.
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
• Proven packaging and POS design experience in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong typography, layout and attention to detail.

Design for some of the most (globally)well-known brands.

This role is based in office/ warehouse on the Umhlanga side of Durban.

Duties:

• Design and develop innovative and eye-catching packaging, labels and point of sales displays for consumer products
• Collaborate closely with industrial designers, account managers and manufacturing and be part of the team to see what you design being printed and built
• Conceptualize and develop creative packaging and point of sales concepts that effectively communicate brand identity
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines effectively.

Requirements and skills

• 2+ years related experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in packaging design and point of sales diplays, preferably within the FMCG / manufacturing industry.
