Job summary

Shoprite in Cape Town invites applications for a Trainee Buyer who will support planning, sourcing, selection and purchasing of specified goods to ensure profitable product ranges, right quantities and timely delivery.

You will assist the Buyer and Senior Buyer, maintain supplier relationships, manage stock levels, pricing points and promotions, and contribute to market and competitor research in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Business, Finance, Logistics, or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.

This role aims to enhance the productivity and profitability of the department through efficient execution of daily tasks while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. The Trainee Buyer will also provide additional support to the Buyer and Senior Buyer within the team.
