Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions invites applications for an internship in data analytics located in Kempton Park, South Africa. The role focuses on gathering and analyzing operational data to drive improvements across manufacturing and parts sales.

You will work with Excel and PowerBI to create dashboards, monitor KPIs, and support forecasting and budgeting activities in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Mathematics or Industrial Engineering).
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerBI.
• Must be a recent graduate.

Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, and analyze operational data related to manufacturing and parts sales to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process enhancements.
• Track KPIs and generate reports and dashboards to provide visibility into operational performance.
• Support parts sales operations by monitoring stock levels and forecasting demand.
• Assist in cost-benefit analyses and collaborate on budget planning.
• Work closely with production, quality, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement projects.
