Job summary

Unitrans offers a 12-month IT internship designed to immerse you in our collaborative IT culture at Bryanston, Gauteng. You’ll work alongside professionals to develop procurement strategies and strengthen IT practices that enable business success.

Successful candidates will have a relevant IT degree, strong communication skills, and a willingness to relocate. Prior work experience is not required, but encouraged as part of your foundational IT career development.

Qualifications

• Must be a South African Citizen.
• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in IT.
• Relevant IT degree(s) from an accredited institution.
• Average grade of 65% or higher.
• Willing to relocate and/or travel within South Africa.
• Previous work experience is welcome but not required.
• Excellent communication, presentation and coordination skills.
• Advanced computer literacy and general administrative skills.
• Driver's licence and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting company hardware and software systems.
• Help monitor network performance and support IT infrastructure.
• Provide technical support to staff with hardware or software issues.
• Assist in the installation and configuration of new software and hardware.
• Support system updates and software deployments.
• Help create and update technical documentation and user guides.
• Participate in ongoing IT projects and assist with research into new technologies.
• Assist with IT inventory management and asset tracking.
