HomeChoice in Cape Town is seeking a motivated IT Infrastructure Intern to gain hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing IT systems and networks.

You will assist with hardware and software installation, monitor performance, support cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and participate in audits and documentation. This internship welcomes a Diploma/Degree in Information Technology and a proactive learner mindset.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Support cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud) under supervision.
• Provide technical end-user support (helpdesk tasks) and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
• Document IT processes, incidents and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
• Follow IT policies and best practices for data protection.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff on upgrades and deployments.
• Participate in IT audits and inventory management.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency.
