Responsibilities

• Internal Controls: Comply with Internal Controls
• Audits and year-end: assist with ledger balances and trial balance reconciliations
• Cashbook: check cheque requisitions for payment; assist with processing cheques (journal entries)
• Cashbook maintenance: update cash book and bank reconciliations
• Import stock payments: assist with Goods In Transit payments where advance payment is required

• Assist with preparing ledger balances and an initial trial balance including all reconciliations, Balance Sheet Accounts and supporting documentation
• Cashbook:
• Assist with checking all prepared cheque requisitions for paymentAssist with processing all the issued cheques on the system (creating a journal)
• Assist with updating and maintain cash book, including bank reconciliations outstanding items
• Assist with processing all import stock payments for payment of Goods In Transit (where advance payment is required)

Qualifications

• Completed Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Financial
• Management, or equivalent
• Strong academic performance
