Job summary

SYSPRO, a leading manufacturing ERP provider, is seeking a BI Intern in South Africa. You will help build dashboards, reports, and AI-driven insights that empower SYSPRO customers and improve internal analytics.

Work with the analytics team to model data, validate sources, and apply AI techniques to forecast trends. Proficiency in SQL and BI tools, plus curiosity about manufacturing data, will help you translate business questions into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
• Working knowledge of SQL; exposure to BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Some exposure to AI/ML concepts; ability to identify meaningful insights in data.
• Genuine interest in manufacturing and distribution data.

Data only matters when someone turns it into a decision, and increasingly, AI is how that happens faster. Syspro uses AI across our own platform and daily operations, and as a BI Intern , you'll work alongside our analytics team to build the dashboards, reports, and AI-driven insights that help Syspro customers see their business clearly and help Syspro see its own.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reports and dashboards using SYSPRO's BI tools.
• Clean, model, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Apply AI and machine learning techniques to identify patterns, generate forecasts, and detect anomalies in business data.
• Use AI-assisted tools, such as Copilot, Power BI's AI features, or similar technologies already integrated into SYSPRO, to accelerate analysis and reporting.
• Partner with product and customer teams to translate business questions into queries.
• Present findings in a clear and actionable way for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Data science, Information systems, Statistics, or a related field.

• Must have:Working knowledge of SQL; exposure to a BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar is advantageous.
• Some exposure to AI and machine learning concepts or tools, including through learning or project-based experience.
• An ability to identify meaningful insights and stories within datasets, beyond the numbers themselves.
• A genuine interest in manufacturing and distribution data.
