Placements24 is seeking an IT Security Auditor for our client, a respected accounting and auditing firm with operations in East London. You will evaluate IT controls, verify policy compliance, and identify improvements to safeguard client systems and data.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in IT auditing or information security, strong analytical skills, and relevant certifications or the potential to obtain them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, IT, CS or related field.
• 2–3 years in IT auditing or information security roles.
• Familiarity with IT general controls, application controls, and cybersecurity.
• Knowledge of ISACA, COBIT, ISO 27001 frameworks.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute IT security audits for various clients.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness of IT controls and security measures.
• Evaluate compliance with policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and risks within IT systems, networks and applications.
• Document findings, develop recommendations and audit reports.
• Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
• Collaborate with client IT and security teams to understand their systems.
• Stay up-to-date with auditing standards and security best practices.
