Mindworx Consulting and Academy is seeking an IT Governance Specialist/Lead based in Cape Town to own and advance the Technology Governance Framework, aligning governance with business strategy and risk appetite. You will bridge technology, risk, and executive leadership, embedding controls that deliver real value and drive strategic decisions.

The role requires strong experience in COBIT/ITIL, governance KPIs, and executive reporting.

Qualifications

• Proven IT governance, risk, and compliance experience in complex environments.
• Bachelor's degree in IS, GRC, or related field.
• Experience presenting to executive and audit committees.
• Strong control design, gap analysis, and governance KPI expertise.

• Own & Transform: Design, mature, and continuously improve the Technology Governance Framework and operating models.
• Assess & Monitor: Conduct governance maturity assessments and drive audit remediation.
• Executive Advisory: Produce executive-level insights and facilitate governance committees.

Ready to shape, mature, and lead the Technology Governance strategy for an enterprise media leader? We are looking for an IT Governance Specialist/Lead based in Cape Town to transform our IT governance framework into a high-value operational asset.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end Technology Governance Framework and drive a comprehensive governance transformation roadmap. You'll act as the strategic bridge between technology, enterprise risk, and executive leadership, embedding controls that drive real business value across the organization.

Core Frameworks & Standards

• Primary Frameworks: COBIT 2019, ITIL
• Governance Focus: Regulatory Compliance, Policy & Operating Model Design, Audit & Assurance Practices

Must-Haves

• Proven experience in IT Governance, Enterprise Risk, and Compliance in complex environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Governance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Track record of facilitating senior forums and presenting directly to Executive and Audit Committees.
• Strong expertise in control design, gap analysis, and establishing governance KPIs.

Nice-to-Haves / Certifications
