Job summary

Sanlam Investments is seeking an IT governance lead to drive governance maturity across clusters and business units in South Africa. You will partner with architects, delivery teams and security practitioners to implement policies, frameworks and controls that ensure regulatory alignment and strong risk management.

The role focuses on governance forums, reporting, and audit support within the broader Sanlam environment.

Qualifications

Experience in IT governance, risk and compliance.
5+ years in enterprise IT environments.
Policy rollout and operationalisation across large groups.
Experience in regulated financial services environments.

Responsibilities

Establish, coordinate and mature IT governance practices across Cluster and Business Units.
Drive rollout, adoption and implementation of IT governance, security and data standards.
Provide thought leadership on IT governance, risk, compliance and regulatory alignment.
Define, maintain and evolve governance frameworks, policies, standards and artefacts.
Establish governance controls and monitoring within the IT environment.
Set up Cluster‑wide IT governance forums and working groups.
Represent governance positions into Group governance structures.
Support audit, assurance and regulatory activities by ensuring governance evidence.
