Job summary

ATS Client in Johannesburg seeks an IT Development Manager to lead a development team in the telecommunications space. You will oversee coding standards, documentation, and project delivery to align with the company’s goals.

The role requires 6–9 years of senior development leadership, strong .NET and SQL experience, and the ability to coordinate across platforms, including API integrations and payment/telecom systems.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years' experience as a senior developer or developer manager.
• Experience in leading development teams and coordinating delivery.
• Ability to manage large transaction volumes and complex data.
• Strong documentation, communication and governance skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage Development Team
• Ensure all code is stored in a safe place.
• Ensure code has comments and all documentation is completed for code and Statements of work.
• Ensure the development team follows common development practices.
• Upskill Dev staff to be more of an assist to the company.
• Report on activities of developers to General Manager monthly.
• Do coding to help the team when workload spikes and deadlines loom.
• Oversee Development Projects and ensure proper execution.

Our client in the Telecommunications industry is looking for an IT Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Development Team
• Ensure all code is stored in a safe place.
• Ensure code has comments and all documentation is completed for all code and Statements of work.
• Ensure the development team works in unity and follows common development practices
• Upskill Dev staff to be more of an assist to the company
• Report on activities of developers to General Manager monthly
• Do coding to help the team when there is an influx of work and deadlines to be met.
• Development Projects
• Ensure all projects, fixes and upgrades are properly executed in the best interest of the company
