Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with a specialization in irrigation.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in agricultural irrigation design, installation, or management.
• Proficiency in irrigation design software (AutoCAD, IrriPro) and hydraulic calculations.
• Strong understanding of water management principles, soil science, and crop water requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assess farm land and crop requirements to design optimal irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, etc.).
• Select appropriate irrigation equipment and materials based on site conditions and client needs.
• Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for irrigation projects.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of irrigation systems, ensuring quality and adherence to design.
• Provide technical support and training to farmers on irrigation system operation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair existing irrigation systems to ensure efficient performance and water conservation.
