Job summary

Edge Executive Search Group in Gauteng seeks a Senior Manager: Invest SA to lead the one-stop interface between investors, businesses and government departments, driving streamlined regulatory processes and effective stakeholder engagement.

You will coordinate cross-sector partnerships, manage budgets, performance, and workforce planning, and guide policy alignment with investment priorities across national, provincial and local levels.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree or NQF Level 8 qualification in commerce, investments or an enterprise-related discipline.
• At least five years of management experience in a commerce, investment or enterprise-related environment.
• Sound knowledge of the business environment, including key stakeholders, their responsibilities and expected outcomes.
• Understanding of foreign and local economic development.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and governance requirements.
• Ability to define, scope, plan and execute projects using project management methodologies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in stakeholder relationship management and cross-organisational collaboration.
• Ability to manage operational processes, budgets, team performance and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational processes for a one-stop-shop interface between clients and business regulatory departments.
• Negotiate and conclude memoranda of understanding, manage SLAs, and establish working protocols with government departments and private sector organisations.
• Develop and implement guidelines, policies and procedures, including automation of client and partner processes.
• Maintain digital client interface systems and ensure timely responses to investor inquiries.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with economic development agencies, consultancies, and trade organisations.
• Develop stakeholder engagement plans and a structured relationship framework.
• Coordinate quarterly stakeholder sessions and ease-of-doing-business discussions with investors and partners.
• Manage relationships with national Invest SA stakeholders and align with investment priorities.
• Facilitate round-table discussions to address investor concerns and support investment retention and expansion.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advocate for policy improvements.
• Prepare and manage sub-unit budget and contribute to divisional budgeting and reporting.
• Lead, coach and supervise team members and assist with recruitment and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with other units and zones to improve coordination and investor service delivery.
