Job summary

Delthorn, based in Johannesburg, is seeking an Inventory Data Analyst to strengthen inventory management and supply chain operations through precise data analysis, reporting, and forecasting. The role is permanent and located in Johannesburg, Gauteng, with an emphasis on optimizing stock levels and procurement processes.

You will maintain stock accuracy, prepare demand forecasts, and generate reports to support production planning and supplier coordination.

Qualifications

Matric/Grade 12 required.
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management or related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
Data/analytics certification is an advantage.
Knowledge/experience with inventory or ERP systems.
1–3 years in inventory control, reporting or supply chain analytics.
Inventory replenishment experience and understanding of inventory data management.

Responsibilities

Plan six months in advance for long lead time spare parts to support production schedule.
Generate weekly buying reports for production shortages and SKU replenishment.
Perform daily inventory checks to maintain stock accuracy and uninterrupted production.
Update ABDC analysis and product group codes every four months to align with movement trends.
Minimize dead or slow-moving stock by accurate planning of inventory.
Update SKU levels every six months after coding changes, with branch manager sign-off.
Generate and process forward order buying reports to assist suppliers.
